Ingredients

2 garlic cloves
1½ cups water or veggie stock
1 cup whole oat groats
1 package chestnut mushrooms
1 carrot (optional)
1 tsp Italian herbs
Salt, as desired
A pinch of ground caraway seeds
A handful of spinach leaves

1 package chestnut mushrooms

1 tsp (5 ml) Italian herbs
Salt, as desired
A pinch of ground caraway seeds
A handful of spinach leaves

Instructions
- Chop the onion, crush the garlic cloves, slice the mushrooms and the carrot.
- Boil all the ingredients except for the spinach in a pot for 50 minutes. Add more water if needed.
- Add the spinach at the end and let them wilt. Add more if desired.
