1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts
1 TBSP sesame seeds
2 TBSP soy sauce (gluten-free and without additives)
½ TBSP sambal oelek (chili paste - without additives) or very finely minced red chili peppers)

2 TBSP (30 ml) Tamari soy sauce (no wheat and without additives)
½ TBSP (7.5 ml) sambal oelek (chili paste - without additives) or very finely minced red chili peppers

Instructions
- Clean the Brussels sprouts. Bring a pot with half an inch (1.5 cm) water to a boil. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook for 8 minutes, or until tender. Drain and rinse under cold running water.
- Heat a skillet without oil or butter over medium heat. Toast the sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce and sambal oelek or hot chili peppers.
- Toss the cooked Brussels sprouts with the soy sauce mixture and sesame seeds.
