China Crohn's and Colitis Foundation

Ms. Xiaohong Luo, Dr. Yan Chen, and Ms. Min Han co-founded The China Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCCF) with a shared vision of improving the quality of life for IBD patients. Ms. Luo, the founder of the Zhejiang Zhipu Foundation and a close friend of Dr. Chen, was previously a director at the Alibaba Foundation. During a visit to Dr. Chen’s clinic, she was deeply moved by the warmth and mutual support among IBD patients, which inspired her to help by establishing a charitable organization. Dr. Chen, an IBD specialist, became aware of IBD-related charitable initiatives through her involvement in the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) conference. Through years of clinical practice, she also witnessed firsthand the challenges patients face and the lack of support in their medical journey. Ms. Han, co-founder of Alibaba and a close friend of Ms. Luo, was gradually introduced to the IBD community and, deeply touched by the resilience and collaboration between patients and doctors in their fight against the disease, has remained actively involved in IBD-related charitable activities.
