16 oz fresh green beans- trimmed
¼ medium onion- sliced
1 garlic clove
¼–⅓ cup (homemade SCD legal if necessary) bone broth. See (related recipe)

⅛ tsp freshly ground pepper

453 gram fresh green beans- trimmed

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
- Add garlic, sliced onion, trimmed green beans, salt and pepper to the skillet.
- Sauté for 4-5 minutes until onions begin to caramelize.
- Add bone broth, cover and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- Raise the heat, remove the lid and reduce/boil until all of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Taste and add salt/pepper if desired.
- Toss green beans with lemon zest.
- Keep warm in a 170°F (76.7°C) oven until the rest of the meal is ready or serve immediately. Enjoy!
