Ingredients
1 TBSP olive oil
1 large onion, peeled and chopped fine
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced fine
1-inch fresh ginger piece, peeled and grated
1 pound ground beef
1 large tomato
1 TBSP honey
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp curry powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
¾ cup SCD-safe frozen peas
¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped fine
1 TBSP (15 ml) olive oil
1 large onion, peeled and chopped fine

2.5-cm fresh ginger piece, peeled and grated
440 grams ground beef
1 large tomato
1 TBSP (15 ml; 20 g) honey
1 tsp (5 ml) salt
½ tsp (2.5 ml) pepper
1 tsp (5 ml) cumin powder
½ tsp (2.5 ml) curry powder
1 tsp (5 ml) turmeric powder
100 grams SCD-safe frozen peas
4 grams fresh cilantro, chopped fine
Instructions
- In a stovetop pan, on medium heat, add in oil and sauté the onion, garlic and ginger until tender.
- Add in the ground beef, and let brown.
- Once the beef is slightly cooked, add in the tomato, honey, salt, pepper, and spice powders.
- Mix them into the beef, and cook covered for about 15-20 minutes until beef is almost done.
- If it gets too dry, add in a bit of water.
- Stir in the peas and cilantro, and cook for 5 more minutes, or until beef is done and peas are soft. (If you prefer a less spicy version, reduce the amount of cumin, curry, and turmeric powders as desired).
