Ingredients

5 slices of compliant nut-flour bread

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

1½ TBSP butter

½ tsp oregano

½ tsp granulated garlic

½ tsp onion salt

pepper to taste

any other spices added that you like

Instructions

  • Cut the bread into small cubes.
  • Add the other ingredients to the bread and microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Mix well with a fork.
  • Batter should be wet enough to shape into a buttered cake pan, but not too damp (adjust butter).
  • Press batter into the pan well so that, later, your sauce won't go over the edge. I found that putting a little chedder on top of the crust before cooking it helps.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approx. 15 min....until it looks solid, even over-done. Don't worry if it gets hard, it will soften when you put the toppings on.*

*Add any desired toppings: Make sure you oil the cracker well after it is cooked, before you add any sauce and toppings. Add thick sauce, hamburger, more cheese....whatever your diet will allow. Enjoy! It is even better warmed up!!
