2-2½ pounds meaty chicken pieces
½ tsp finely shredded lime peel
¼ cup lime juice
1 TBSP cooking oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried thyme or basil, crushed
½-1 tsp cracked black pepper

60 ml lime juice
1 TBSP (15 ml) cooking oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp (5 ml) dried thyme or basil, crushed
½-1 tsp (2.5-5 ml) cracked black pepper
¼ tsp (1.25 ml) salt

Instructions
- Skin chicken if desired.
- Rinse chicken & pat dry.
- Place chicken pieces, bone side up, on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
- Broil 4-5 inches from the heat about 20 min. or till lightly browned.
- Meanwhile, for glaze, stir together lime peel, lime juice, oil, garlic, thyme or basil, pepper and salt.
- Brush chicken with glaze.
- Broil chicken for 5-15 minutes more or until chicken is tender and no longer pink, brushing often with glaze during last 5 minutes of cooking.
