Ingredients
1½ cups onion, yellow or white, diced and sauteed
8 cloves garlic, minced
48 oz ground turkey
1½ cups almond flour
2 TBSP tomato paste, no additives
1 TBSP red wine vinegar
1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
2 TBSP honey
½ cup SCD ketchup (see related recipe)
2 tsp basil, dried
2 tsp oregano, dried
3 tsp parsley, dried
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper, ground
1 cup SCD ketchup (for topping -see related recipe)

1½ cups (150 g) almond flour
2 TBSP (30 ml) tomato paste, no additives
1 TBSP (15 ml) red wine vinegar
1 TBSP (15 ml) apple cider vinegar
2 TBSP (30 ml) honey
½ cup (117.5 g) SCD ketchup (see related recipe)
2 tsp (10 ml) basil, dried
2 tsp (10 ml) oregano, dried
3 tsp (15 ml) parsley, dried
2 tsp (10 ml) salt
1 tsp (5 ml) black pepper, ground
1 cup (235 g) SCD ketchup (see related recipe)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a sheet tray with foil, set aside.
- Next, heat a large skillet on medium and add in a drizzle of olive oil. Add onions and saute until cooked through and translucent.
- Add in garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a large bowl add all other ingredients for meatloaf including the onion mixture. Remember to only add ½ cup (118 ml) of the ketchup to the meatloaf mixture. Reserve the other cup for the top of the meatloaf.
- Mix thoroughly and place mixture on your sheet tray. Shape into a loaf.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 155°F (68 °C)
- Remove from the oven and brush on the remaining cup of ketchup.
- Return to the oven for 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74 °C)
- Remove from the oven and rest for 10 minutes.
- Slice into 8 pieces and serve immediately. Enjoy!
