Ingredients
Raspberry-Basil:
¼ cup raspberries
1 tsp honey
3 fresh basil leaves

Blueberry-Apple:
½ cup fresh blueberries
¼ cup compliant unsweetened apple juice
2 TBSP honey
2-4 thyme leaves

Strawberry-Lemon:
4 strawberries, leaves and stems removed
1 lime, juiced
3 TBSP honey
⅛ tsp cardamon powder

Lemon-Basil:
½ cup fresh lemon juice
1 TBSP fresh basil leaves
1 TBSP honey
salt and pepper to taste

60 ml raspberries
1 tsp (5 ml; 7 g) honey
3 fresh basil leaves

Blueberry-Apple:
75 grams fresh blueberries
60 ml compliant unsweetened apple juice
2 TBSP (30 ml; 42 g) honey
2-4 thyme leaves

Strawberry-Lemon:
4 strawberries, leaves and stems removed
1 lime, juiced
3 TBSP (45 ml; 63 g) honey
⅛ tsp (0.625 ml) cardamon powder

Lemon-Basil:
120 ml fresh lemon juice
1 TBSP (15 ml) fresh basil leaves
1 TBSP (15 ml) honey
salt and pepper to taste

Soda
2-3 TBSP (30-45 ml) of syrup from one of the above groups
1 cup of carbonated water.
Instructions
- In a small hand blender, process any group of ingredients above to make a syrup base.
- For serving the fruit soda, combine 2-3 TBSP (30-45 ml) of the syrup base with 1 cup of carbonated water. Increase proportionally as required.

A small restaurant near our home inspired these ideas for syrup bases for different kinds of sodas. The food is fresh and substitutions for different diets are commonplace (no questions asked or funny stares).
