Instructions
- Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.
- Place in a large saucepan or stockpot.
- Add one cup of water.
- Heat to a simmer and then let simmer for at least 15 minutes.
- When apples are soft, turn off heat and add cinnamon and honey if desired.
- Stir.
- Blend using an immersion (stick) blender until the desired texture is reached and let cool.
- Alternatively, let cool, then blend in a stand-up blender or mash by hand.
