Ingredients
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 TBSP butter
3 lbs ground turkey
1½ cups SCD bread crumbs (see Related Recipes and Notes)
1½ cups [homemade] chunky applesauce (see Related Recipes)
3 eggs, beaten
1 TBSP chopped parsley
½ tsp pepper
1 TBSP plain mustard
¼ cup homemade SCD ketchup - optional (see Related Recipes)

1361 grams ground turkey
225 gram SCD bread crumbs (see Related Recipes and Notes)
355 ml [homemade] chunky applesauce (see Related Recipes)
3 eggs, beaten
1 TBSP (15 ml) chopped parsley
½ tsp (2.5 ml) pepper
1 TBSP (15 ml) plain mustard
59 ml homemade SCD ketchup - optional (see Related Recipes)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)
- Sauté onion in butter until soft.
- Mix all ingredients except for the ketchup together.
- Form into a loaf and place in a glass baking pan or greased loaf pan.
- Spread the ketchup on top (optional)
- Bake one hour.
- Remove from the oven and let it stand for 15 minutes before serving.
- Cuts better when cooled some.

Notes
Instead of bread crumbs you can also toast a similar amount of almond flour in a dry frying pan with a little bit of salt and onion and/or garlic powder.
